In this session, Jason will draw on 19 years experience, as a management consultant and a designer, to unpack some of the core challenges he has faced realising design's value to business.

Jason is an innovation consultant, business founder and local leader for the Interaction Design Association. He has drawn on his experience studying industrial design, and his early years as a management consultant, to promote and practice various forms of design in leading agencies and consultancies around London. Through mostly long engagements with clients, he has realised the value of design, but still struggles with it every day.
Jason has been an active member of the London UX community, acting as a local leader for IxDA London for the past 5 years, running monthly events. His advice around portfolios, and mapping your UX shape, has helped designers across the globe. He talks around a wide range of topics from music technology to industrial design (slides available on his slideshare: slideshare.net/jasonmesut). He’s also keen on stoking up a good debate, whatever the forum.
